They started in a two-horse stable in Melbourne, Lowen turning wooden bowls, Rodeck making pencils, before building Fler into one of the most significant names in Australian mid-century furniture. These chairs carry the Scandi-Pacific style the company became known for: a sculptural frame with tapered legs and a backrest set between two shaped Tasmanian Myrtle uprights, giving it visual lightness without losing structural strength.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe timber frames have been professionally restored. The original red vinyl remains in excellent condition, with only very minor traces of age, and a new dust cover has been fitted to the seats, with the original Fler labels kept intact.
