The iconic “Fondue’ Coffee Table by TH Brown & Sons is a firm favourite of mine. The simple structure and superior timber used, are what sets this coffee table apart from the rest. This coffee table is an original and not a new production. The frame has been sanded and finished in a Scandinavian oil and wax rub and all loose joints have been pulled apart and re-glued. The black tinted glass does show some signs of wear- a small scratch to the side of the glass would be the most obvious of marks (view photos), however this is typical from a coffee table of this age. This piece does not come with the 3 almond shape ottomans however I believe that it does not take anything away from the simple beauty of this table. No labels/maker’s marks are visible on this table however there is a manufacturer’s number (479) which was common for TH Brown when producing their pieces. Sourced in Sydney.
