A magnificent folding campaign chair, made in England circa 1870. The wooden frame has been expertly carved to mimic bamboo chutes, as Chinoiserie was all the rage in England at the time. The seats and backs are made of leather with the arms being loose straps of leather fashioned to the seatback and fronts with brass hardware. Turned finials cap the chairs' supports, embellished with brass.
