The lower edge has an elongated lower beading and the table is double sided with the frieze finished all round so the table may free stand away from a wall. and be viewed from both sides if in the centre of a room.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThere are nicely turned and well profiled full height end support columns embellished with long flutes in the French Louis XVI manner. The supports terminate on shaped plinth bases embellished with turned and carved patera positioned above the lobed flattened bun feet with original all brass castor assemblies beneath.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eProvenance: Stamped in one drawer with the stamp used between 1843 and 1845 for Holland and Sons Belgrave Square London. Holland and Sons due to their reputation as cabinetmakers of high quality craftsmanship were favoured by Queen Victoria and held the Royal Warrant from Queen Victoria and supplied Government and Royalty with furniture including for Windsor Castle, Balmoral Castle, Osborne House and Marlborough House. They exhibited at the Great Exhibition, London International, Paris and Vienna Exhibitions.
