This is a very good and Practical example of a genuine antique Korean Coin Chest made from superbly figured and nicely ‘honey’ coloured Elm or as the Koreans refer to it as Zelcova which was usually reserved for scholars furniture. The timber is constructed with dovetails and braced with ‘black’ Iron angle brackets while the lock area and hinges are decoratively pierced.
Condition: Excellent for age with a nice patina.
