Its medievalising theatrical imagery is complemented by the historicist treatment of the chair, creating a particularly characterful piece of Victorian decorative furniture.In good antique condition with wear, marks and variation to the timber consistent with age and use. The Minton tile has several stable cracks, as photographed, but remains complete and highly decorative.England, late 19th century.
