A very fine 19th century mirror in gilded wood and gesso. The beveled mirror is enclosed in a gilt frame, surmounted by an outsize and ornate cartouche crest, with trailing delicate carved acanthus leaves and rock roses cascading down over each edge of the frame. This antique gilt wood gold leaf mirror retains its original beveled glass with slight crazing to glass and has imperfections to frame as expected with age (see photos for details).
